Using the Wanted Board

Can't find a rare trim piece, hard-to-source casting, or obsolete mechanical component in the main search? The Wanted Board lets you broadcast your specific parts requests directly to sellers across The Parts Shop community.

📌 How to Post a Wanted Request

Creating a request on the Wanted Board takes less than two minutes:

1. Go to the Wanted Board section in the main navigation.
2. Tap Post a Request.
3. Provide Key Details:
   • Vehicle Specs: Make, model, year, and registration (if applicable).
   • Part Description: The exact component needed, preferred condition (e.g., usable original, core for rebuild, refurbished), and any required part numbers.
   • Reference Photos: Upload photos of your original broken part or a reference image if you have one.
4. Submit the post to make it visible on the public Wanted Board.

🤝 How Sellers Respond to Your Request

Sellers browsing the Wanted Board who have matching stock can respond directly to your post:

• Direct Listing Creation: A seller can respond by linking an existing listing from their Workshop or creating a new item listing specifically for your request.
• Direct Notification: You will receive an in-app notification as soon as a seller offers a match.
• Chat & Confirm: You can open Direct Chat with the seller to inspect photos, check condition details, and confirm fitment.

🔒 Purchasing Through the Wanted Board

All purchases initiated through the Wanted Board follow our standard secure transaction workflow:

• On-Platform Checkout: Once you and the seller agree on condition and price, purchase the item directly through the seller’s listing thread.
• Payment Protection: Your payment is safely held under Buyer Protection until the item is delivered and inspected.
• Tracked Delivery: Sellers must ship using mandatory tracked courier delivery.
