Instead of sending your money directly to a seller’s personal bank account right away, we hold payment safely under Buyer Protection until the part is in your hands and verified.

- Pay Securely at Checkout: When you purchase an item, your payment is processed through our secure payment system and held safely under Buyer Protection.
- Seller Ships Your Part: The seller is notified that payment is secured so they can package and dispatch your item with tracked shipping.
- Inspect & Verify Fitment: Once your package arrives, you have time to check part numbers, test fitment against your chassis, and inspect condition.
- Release Payment: When you're happy with your part, simply click Confirm Received & Satisfied on your dashboard to release the funds directly to the seller.
💰 How It Works for Sellers
- Guaranteed Funds Before You Ship: You’ll never have to ship an item on a promise. We verify and hold the buyer's payment before asking you to package anything up.
- Tracked Dispatch: Ship your part using integrated tracking through Royal Mail or your chosen courier so both you and the buyer can trace the package.
- Prompt Payouts: As soon as the buyer confirms everything is satisfactory—or once the standard inspection window closes without an issue being flagged—your funds are automatically released to your bank account.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I forget to click 'Confirm Received'?
Don't worry! If a buyer receives their package and forgets to click confirm, the system will automatically mark the transaction as complete and release the funds to the seller after the inspection window ends, provided no issue has been reported.
What if the part arrives damaged or isn't as described?
If there’s an issue, simply click Report an Issue on your dashboard before confirming the order. This instantly pauses the payment release, keeping your money safe while you and the seller work out a solution through our Direct Resolution Chat.
Does The Parts Shop charge a fee for holding funds?
The payment hold service is fully included as part of our standard Buyer Protection Fee at checkout. There are no hidden charges or extra fees for holding funds safely.
